“Let the bells ring out and the banners fly!”
The album is now available for free download.
But don’t do it.
Smauel labelled the songs with improper capitalization. Instead, download the songs from our PureVolume page, to which I’m currently uploading properly capitalized MP3s. Unless, of course, you don’t care at all. You should, though. Also, there appears to be some compatibility problems with the MP3s and Windows Media Player 11; the album art doesn’t show up and neither does the list of composers. The composers we can’t really fix, but if you’re a WMP 11 user and you want that album art, copy the image from the previous blog post and paste it into the album art box.
You may notice as well that we’ve renovated the site. It’s still under construction, so watch for updates. And if you’re an Internet Explorer user, you may notice that it looks terrible. Don’t worry, we are working on that, although you really should be using Firefox. 😀 In the meantime, we updated our “About” page on the blog, so go read that.
Enjoy the musicks.
–Zimmy
EDIT: Never mind, you are gonna have to download them from the main site… a couple of songs are too big to fit on PureVolume. Oh well, just edit the ID tags or somethin’. 😛
EDIT #2: Yeah, edit the ID tags. The titles for some of the songs get clipped in WMP apparently…
EDIT #3: Hey, has anyone heard the new Metallica and AC/DC singles?
Comment by kemendraugh — 2008-09-04 @ 15:23
I’m downloading it as I type. And yes, I have heard the new singles. Good stuff, neh?
*waits for download impatiently*
*some time passes*
*finishes listening*
Yay! I’ve heard the whole thing now. So…I like it guys, I really do. Um, but I still can’t get over the drums. They grate. This has been cinched by the fact that all my favourites happen to be drumless. Yeah. I only figured that out later. But I love it! And I like your lyrics, and guitar, and the organ. Those are my favourite bits. my top two are A Better Place, Phoenix, Overdose of Dali, and CinemaChurch (is that supposed to be one word?). I also love the end of Ragnarok, with the sweet guitar.
Aaaaand that’s all I have to say right now. Love your band muchly! When’s the next album coming out? 😉
Comment by kemendraugh — 2008-09-04 @ 15:24
Aand apparently I can’t count, because that’s four favourites. My bad.
Comment by Mar Smauel — 2008-09-04 @ 16:58
I didn’t break the tagging! WMP is just really stupid with its handling of tags. And I’ve fixed the site in IE, ‘KAY? (At least, I think I have… I haven’t actually bothered to test it.)
If you want album art, forget the previous post – a high-res copy (1280×1280, same as should be embedded into the files) is packaged in the ZIP file with the filename Zed Narley – Big Cardboard Robot.jpg.
The next album? Probably March. 2010. 😉

Yes. One word. Like CinemaScope.
Overdose is my favourite. I dan’t know why. I never liked Phoenix much for some reason. And Overdose and CinemaChurch have drums, wotchoo talkin’ ’bout? (And I’ll have you know I worked for AGES on the CinemaDrums, ESPECIALLY after you said you hated the old ones).
Yes, we are very going to take our time with this next one. Although we do have a working title now.

i gotta say i like ragnarok and ben the destroyer. i can’t list the 3 i sang in cause that would be conceited and i’m to critical of my self anyways, i could go forever on all my mistakes so don’t get me started.

I like the album. I’ve listened to the CD of it that Zack (aka Zimmy) made, and I think it’s great.

I really like the album. Zimmy Dandy has made a CD of it and I’ve listened to it a few times. I think that Overdose of Dali is really good, as well as The System, Back to the Abacus, and Ben the Destroyer. A Better Place is also good, and I’m a Bear, though I think that it was better off without Nevik’s part (no offense, Nevik). I also like CinemaChurch, and Ragnarok, but not Phoenix. I like the bridge of Ben the Destroyer very much (probably because it includes my appearance on pots and pans) and the name that the band has decided to give me: Juggernaut. So, guys, just keep up the good work.

The album is a marvelous accomplishment. I cannot review it because a) I am not objective about it or its bass player and b) I heard too much of it in progress.
Does anyone know how many times it has been downloaded so far?

Zed Narley is DEMONIC!!! THEY ARE SATANISTS!!! THEIR MUSIC WAS SPAWNED IN THE FIRE OF HELL!!! BURN THEIR RECORDS!!! BURN THE BAND!!! BURN– Oh, fine. I’ll tell you what I really think. Like Kendra, I feel the drums to be rather… ungood. Except on CinemaChurch, and Overdose, and I’m a Bear, and a few others. I like most of them, especially I’m a Bear :sneaky: and CinemaChurch, but I feel that Ragnarok needed a few changes. Like, the tinwhistle shouldn’t have continued throughout the whole song. And the drums were ESPECIALLY bad on that one.
Okay. I’m done now. Peace out, Dawg.

@Sage Green: Unfortunately, I don’t have exact numbers. I expected my host’s statistics to cover it, but I hadn’t set up the logging properly. Pity. My rough estimate is ten or eleven downloads, though.

For the record, I only downloaded it once. Ten or eleven? Dude, I’m gonna have to step up if I’m to remain one of the #1 groupies.

so uh, when do we start on the next one? I’ve got some stuff in progress now.. which somehow got codenamed “duhhh pancakes?”, not actually named that, but thats its mysterious codename which will keep all you fans drooling till the next album comes out. 😛
Comment by Zimmy Dandy — 2008-09-14 @ 13:57
I thought the working title was “Kinetic Rhythm”.
Comment by superman — 2008-09-14 @ 17:58
umm ok. you weren’t supposed to give that away though silly, whihc is why there was a CODENAME
Comment by Zimmy Dandy — 2008-09-14 @ 18:32
Well, I told a bunch of people already, so it doesn’t really matter. ^_^
Comment by Sage Green — 2008-09-14 @ 21:19
I have to say that a project named “duhhh pancakes?” really does make me drool.

Not me, although it is an awesome codename.
