Wilkommen
Hey, everypeoples. This is the bog for the bland, I mean, the blog for the band. Our band. We are Zed Narley, the band destined to be bigger than KISS, greater than U2, and more annoying than Jonathan Richman. I doubt we’re gonna chronicle much actual progress here; more like random tidbits pertaining in some way to where we’re at right about now. For the record, however, we have two songs completed, and two more very nearly so.
I guess I could list some of our influences. Hmm, I suppose the main one (for me, anyway) would be Rush, ’cause they’re progressive, though-provoking, and Canadian (all three of which we are aiming to be; we’re still working on the Canadian bit, though 😉 ). Another big one for me is U2, followed by Pink Floyd, Supertramp, Genesis, Switchfoot, The Beatles, Nine Inch Nails, Sufjan Stevens, Arcade Fire, The Police, and Steve Taylor. Now, those aren’t necessarily my favourite bands period (though most of ’em are some of my favourite bands); they’re just ones I’ve taken a lot of musical and lyrical inspiration from. (Hopefully some time in the future we’ll get around to a metal album, and I guarantee my primary sources of inspiration will include Metallica, Mötley Crüe, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Van Halen, and Led Zeppelin.)

And I promise to be a loyal band groupie. And those are mostly good inspirations. And as a groupie, can I have a cool name too? I still think your name is the best part so far. “The last awesome thing.” 😆 I love. Rock on, boys. Even if the world deserts you, I will always be at your side.(quote) Although I may laugh in secret.

Hrm… Kemengroupie? 😀 Yeah, you’re probably right about the name thing. Meh, doesn’t matter. We’ll come up with some good music some day – once I get writing, that is 😉

For the record, I said htat ere any music had been made public. So it was pretty much the only part of the band. Also, I object to the change in your name intro! It used to say “Narley: The most awesome thing.” Now it just says “something awesome.” Not as good. JSYK, btw, fyi, IMO.

I was addressing Smauel, with his “We’ll come up with some good music some day” blasphemy. I never questioned your undying support. But no, you don’t get a cool name, sarry.
And change it back, Mar Smauel. We don’t want to alienate our fanbase.
